Concentrate On Web Content Instead Of Search Engine Optimization

For many webmasters the title of my article may seem like bad advice and contradict what most search engine experts say and advocate. However the proof is in the pudding. As a webmaster with 4 websites trust me when I tell you that I haven't got a clue how to optimize my web pages in order to be on the first page for a particular search phrase. Instead I work on adding new content to my web sites. This technique has allowed me to consistently earn 4 figures a month in additional income and usually I start making money within 3 weeks of making my websites.

With Google doing its many algorithm changes on what seems like a daily basis and with MSN finally launching the search engine I feel compelled to just focus on adding quality content to my websites and finding beneficial link exchanges from other content rich websites. This allows me the opportunity to make my website bigger with more information and yes, keyword rich pages, which eventually do make it into the search engines on their own.

My favorite way to add quality back links to my website involves using articles. Normally I write between 2 or 3 articles a night which I then submit to article directories. My signature block contains the links back to website. Every article directory that publishes an article that I have written usually generates a link back to my site. It gets even better when other webmasters use my articles as content for their websites since it generates another link back to my own site.

Since I don't try to rank in the top 10 for any particular search term through search engine optimization the technique of adding more web pages and articles is even more crucial to my success then perhaps to other webmasters. Additionally I don't set my sites on having a website that earns $5000 or $10,000 a month. Instead I focus on making many different websites with the hope of them making between $500 and $1000 a month within 6 months. I'd rather have 10 websites making me a consistent $500 or $1000 a month instead of one heavy money maker just in case that particular website stops generating income.

My technique isn't rocket science but it does make me money. So there's no confusion the main technique I use to make money with my websites very quickly and easily is by adding quality content instead of focusing on search engine placement or optimization. I do this by spending 2 hours a night making new web pages, writing articles and looking for link exchange partners. This technique has worked wonders for my bank account and I'm confident it can do the same for yours.
